The AFIS soft close date for December of 2020 (APD 6 of FY21), which was initially scheduled to take place on Monday, January 4, 2021, was moved to Wednesday, January 6, 2021.  

As payroll transactions of the 27^th pay period will be interfaced from HRIS to AFIS on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, and Friday, January 1, 2021 is a holiday, GAO moved the soft close date to provide agencies with a couple of extra days to clear rejected payroll documents in AFIS.
