Effective 12/14/2017, there will no longer be a default value assigned to the Auto Fixed Asset Numbering table (AUTOFANO) in AFIS. For agencies using auto numbering for new fixed asset records, the first two characters of the department code will need to be entered in the “Prefix” field after selecting the checkbox for “Auto Generate FA Number”. Failure to indicate a department code will result in a system error and prevent the document from being processed.
