The 55th Legislature, 2nd Regular Session, 2022, House Bill 2856 was signed by Governor Ducey on June 28th, 2022, and becomes effective on the General Effective Date, September 24th, 2022. This legislation amends A.R.S. §18-401 and increases the rate for the Technology Charge (IT) Pro-Rata Charge from .43% to .61% of total payroll. This rate will be adjusted on the pay day of October 6th, 2022.
The State Comptroller, Ashley Ruiz, has reviewed the current Unemployment Insurance Fund Balance and has issued a decrease in the rate from .10% to 0% for the remainder of Fiscal Year (FY) 2023. An analysis will be completed to determine the rate for FY 2024. This rate will be adjusted on the pay day of October 6th, 2022 through the final payroll of FY23.
