RE:  Reporting Requirement (SB 1421)

This is directed to all Agency Heads and Statewide Payroll contacts.  Please forward this to the appropriate individual within your agency to coordinate a response.

Pursuant to Laws 2016, Chapter 328, Section 2 (SB 1421):

A.  Each board, commission, council or advisory committee shall report to the department of administration all of the following information on or before October 1, 2016:

1. The amount of compensation that a member of the board, commission,council or advisory committee is authorized to receive, if any.
2. The amount of compensation that was paid in fiscal year 2015?2016 to anymember of the board, commission, council or advisory committee, if any.
3. The amount of reimbursement of expenses that was paid in fiscal year 2015?2016to any member of the board, commission, council or advisory committee, if any.

In order to facilitate agency submittal of this information, we are providing a reporting spreadsheet related to basic data pursuant to A.1.

Please provide this information via email to [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than October 17, 2016.  We are requesting a positive response from each State agency.  If you do not have any boards, commissions, councils, or advisory committees affiliated with your agency, please indicate “None” in your response.

We are in the process of compiling payment data that will facilitate your submittal of information related to A.2. and A.3.  We plan to distribute this shortly.  We will be pulling payment information from HRIS related to pay code “106” BOARD/COMMISSION PAY, as well as payments to individuals currently assigned in “F1” BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBER status.  Because individuals could have separated or could have had other concurrent employment with the State, we will be asking you to review/update your information and send it back to us.  We will need your final submittal no later than November 1, 2016 to ensure all necessary individuals and payments have been properly reported.
