SAAM Additions, Updates and Drafts Effective April 9, 2018
New or updated Sections, if any, of the State of Arizona Accounting Manual (SAAM) listed below have been posted to /publications/saam.
New SAAM Drafts, if any, have been posted to /publications/saam/saam-draft.
Drafts are posted for comment and do not reflect policy statements that are in effect. Agencies are requested to review any Drafts within sixty (60) days of initial posting and send their comments to [email protected].

| 0525 | Internal Controls: Monthly Financial Review and Verification | Introduces new, mandatory, monthly financial verification and review requirements. A new form, GAO-66, is also being introduced to support and document the required reviews. |

| 5040 | Travel: Conferences, Conventions and Meetings | Expands the definition of "conference brochure" to include official notifications on websites as well as solicitation correspondence. Provides a definition for reasonable walking distance. |
| 5557 | Payroll and Personnel: Employee Recognition Activities | Emphasizes the fact that employee recognition funds are public money. Eliminates references to private monetary pools not governed by statute. |
