The General Accounting Office (GAO) has worked with the Auditor General’s Office regarding the FY 2015 Single Audit and Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) deadlines. Please refer to the dates listed below and plan accordingly:

August 31, 2015

Summary Schedule of Prior Audit Findings and Questioned Costs are due from agencies to the GAO and the Auditor General’s Office. This applies to agencies that had Single Audit Findings in the Single Audit FY 2014 report.

September 3, 2015

Exhibit H Federal Grants Closing Packages are due to the GAO. Closing packages can be found on the GAO website at: /financials/cafr/closing-package-information.

October 16, 2015

Draft SEFA, notes and pass-thru schedules are due to the GAO and the Auditor General’s Office.

November 13, 2015

Final SEFA’s and accompanying notes are due from agencies to the GAO and the Auditor General’s Office.

February 17, 2016

Draft audit findings are scheduled to be received from the Auditor General by this date.

March 2, 2016

The GAO must receive Corrective Action Plans and Responses from those agencies with FY 2015 audit findings no later than this date.

If providing revised information, communicating the change between the draft and final versions will help facilitate efficiency of the review process and would be greatly appreciated.
