GAO Central Payroll has added a new pay code to HRIS, updated some of the linked AFIS objects for some pay codes, and updated the short description text of some deduction codes that were previously not unique. 

Here is the pay code recently added:

• 690 MISC/TRVL-PERSONS IN CUSTODY 
  (Added) Miscellaneous and travel expenses related to transport children, wards of the State, prisoners and others in the custody of the State. This includes common carrier fares, meals, lodging, incidentals, etc.
• Form GAO 502 - Employee Expense Reimbursement Form has also been updated to include this new pay code.
   

Consistent with recent changes to the Chart of Accounts, the pay codes that have had an update to the linked AFIS object are available by clicking here.

There were many minor updates to the “CHECK_DESC” field to make all short descriptions unique.  The “CHECK_DESC” field is a short (8 character) deduction code description that appears on many payroll reports.  Making them unique will greatly assist in deduction code reconciliations performed by GAO Central Payroll.  If your agency has used this field in your processes, please review the recently published deduction code listings.
