U.S. Bank EMV Chip Card: New PIN Change Functionality

U.S. Bank has announced a new process that allows U.S. Bank purchasing and travel card cardholders the ability to change their Personal Identification Number (PIN) over the phone.

To change a PIN, cardholders can call the U.S. Bank Customer Service number on the back of their card, enter their account number, and validate their identity. Then:

  • Select Option 2 for PIN Options
  • Select Option 5 for “Change PIN” or “Request Copy of PIN”
  • Select Option 1 to Change PIN
  • Enter Current PIN
  • Enter New PIN

Once the PIN is changed, it may take up to two card transactions for the PIN to be updated.

If cardholders forget their PIN, they may contact U.S. Bank Customer Service to request a PIN reminder.
