The General Accounting Office (GAO) has started the process to upgrade the current version of AFIS (3.10.1) to version 3.11, prior to the end of fiscal year 2019.  Due to this planned upgrade, there will be a code freeze implemented in the current AFIS environment beginning on March 1, 2018. This code freeze will only apply to change requests that involve coding changes directly in the AFIS application. It will not apply to change requests for new interfaces, changes to existing interfaces, new reports or changes to existing reports.

The GAO has assembled a team to focus on the AFIS upgrade. We have begun the process of analyzing the impacts of the changes that will be coming with version 3.11. Specifically, we are working to identify the impacts to business processes, interfaces, forms, reports and training. Once these impacts have been identified, further communication will be sent out via the GAO website.
