InfoAdvantage available

InfoAdvantage has been upgraded to Business Objects 4.2, sp2 and is now available. 

End users should be aware of the following important points:

Exports

  • Saving reports/data
    • On export to excel, users will see .xls and .xlsx rather than the previous options of "Excel" and "Excel 2007".

Report Data 

  • Reports were purged (data only) for the upgrade, migration process and space constraints.  Users should be exporting and saving reports with data outside of infoAdvantage.
  • Report Developers should purge all reports before saving.  Report Developers can purge in Design Mode under Data Access > Data Providers > Purge.

Interactive Users 

  • To minimize the volume of reports and to reduce duplicate reports, Interactive Users can no longer copy and paste reports.  Interactive users who would like to keep a copy of a frequently run reports may create a shortcut within their Departmental folder.  Shortcuts can be created by selecting a report and then selecting Organize > Copy Shortcut.  Then navigate to the destination On Demand Folder and select Organize > Paste Shortcut.  Report Developers should utilize prompts and input controls to minimize the number of reports created and needed.

Deleting Reports

  • Due to multiple phases of cutover, agency “On Demand” folders may have reports that were deleted at some point between January and June, 2019. Document owners may delete these reports or any other reports no longer needed. 
  • If the report owner is no longer available to delete reports, please email [email protected] to make any deletion requests and include: report location, report name and reason for deletion. 

Report Shortcuts  

  • Shortcuts did not migrate, so end users will need to recreate them and delete the unused ones.
