InfoAdvantage Security Changes, InfoAdvantage Unavailable Friday, December 15, 2017

Security modifications will be made for infoAdvantage Production on Friday, December 15, 2017 and the system will be unavailable. All changes will be live on Monday, December 18, 2017.

Modifications Include

  • All user's infoAdvantage, My Favorites folder, will ONLY allow Cut and Delete options for reports. 
    • Users will no longer be able to Save or Paste reports to their My Favorites folder. 
    • All reports currently in user's My Favorites folder will need to be moved to a folder under their Department's On Demand folder, deleted, or exported and saved to a location outside of infoAdvantage. 
    • User's My Favorites folder will be completely inaccessible beginning July 1, 2018. 
  • All user's infoAdvantage, Inbox, will be restricted and scheduling to the Inbox will result in a scheduling error.  Scheduling should be done to a destination other than the BI Inbox.
  • Modifications to reports will be restricted to the report owner.  This DOES NOT restrict refresh/running reports. 
    • Report Developers will only be able to modify reports if they are the owner. 
    • If others need to modify a report, a copy can be made, therefore making them the new owner and allow for report edits.
  • CSV option will not be available for exporting and scheduling. 
  • Report instances will be limited to a maximum of 5. 
    • The number of instances for a report can be found in the report grid in infoAdvantage and will indicate the number of scheduled reports containing data. 
    • Reports with data should be exported and saved outside of infoAdvantage for storage. 
  • Modification and simplification of infoAdvantage roles: 
    • The Department/Agency role will now be split from the other infoAdvantage roles. 
    • GAO will automatically convert the currently assigned infoAdvantage roles to the NEW roles (no action is required by the agency)
    • These modifications will resolve the 1099AP and Report Developer conflict.  So, users can now have both the INFO_1099AP & INFO_DVLPR roles at the same time.
