New Employer Identification Number (EIN) and Filing Process for Use Tax, Transaction Privilege Tax and Federal Grant Agencies

The Department of Revenue (DOR) and the General Accounting Office (GAO) have recently worked together to establish and pilot a new process for filing Use Tax and Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) with DOR.  This new process involves cleaning up existing EINs that are no longer used, as well as establishing new and separate EINs for each agency that pays Use Tax and/or TPT to DOR, and/or that have Federal grants. To determine if your agency is currently or should be paying Use Tax or TPT, we ask that all agencies take the survey using the link below:

DOR and GAO will be jointly presenting in two sessions on May 6, 2019 in the ADOA building, conference room 300 to present the new process. We ask that all agencies who pay Use Tax or TPT and/or have Federal Grants send at least one representative to one of the two sessions (both sessions have the same content).  To register for one of the sessions:

  • Sign in to the TraCorp Learning Platform.
  • Select “LIBRARY” from the top menu.
  • Click on “ALL CONTENT” from the options that will be listed below.
  • In the Search box, type in “AZTaxes.gov” and hit Enter.
  • Under Upcoming Sessions, select the “REGISTER” button on the right side of the course.
  • An email confirmation of your enrollment will be sent to your inbox.
