New Parking Spot Procedures for Sky Harbor Airport Parking

The Parking Spot has provided special, discounted airport parking rates to State employees for several years.   Some months ago, the Parking Spot, as process improvement, updated its procedures so that its cashiers would only provide the discount to State travelers who presented the Spot Club Card at the time of entering or leaving its lots.  Since processing a Spot Club application could take up to two weeks, newly hired and other State travelers without the Spot Club Card could find themselves charged more than the State’s approved reimbursement rate for Phoenix airport parking.

To correct this situation, the Parking Spot has developed some new processes for State travelers.  First, supplies of Spot Club Cards have been delivered to Phoenix Parking Spot cashiers.  If a State traveler doesn’t have a Spot Club Card, he or she, when leaving the parking lot, can show the cashier his or her State-issued ID Card and ask for a State of Arizona Spot Club Card.  He or she will then be given a Spot Club Card and the appropriate discount on the spot.   This newly issued Spot Club Card is to be registered online  https://theparkingspot.com/spot-club/sign-up within two business days of being issued the card.

A State employee with a smart phone and a personal credit card can also sign up for the Parking Spot App at https://theparkingspot.com/spot-club/sign-up?gCode=Stat1898, using the company code Stat1898.  The State employee is to use a personal credit card, not the Employee Travel Card (ETC) in connection with the Parking Spot App (this is because the Parking Spot App can be used for personal as well as official State business parking).

More information is available on the Parking Spot flyer.  When the flyer speaks of merging an accounting, it means tying the Spot Club Card to the Parking Spot App.
