“GAO’s Yellow Book Exposure Draft: What Changes Are Ahead?” a NASACT Webinar.

NASACT, in conjunction with the Association of Government Accountants and the Association of Local Government Auditors, is pleased to announce the latest in its series of training events addressing timely issues in government auditing and financial management.

GAO plans to issue an exposure draft of proposed revisions to Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) in early 2017. The proposed revision represents a modernized version of the standards that considers developments in the accounting and auditing professions. The changes are intended to reinforce the principles of transparency and accountability and provide the framework for high-quality government audits. The revision is expected to include changes in the areas of auditor competence, continuing professional education, internal control, quality control and external peer review. A summary of the changes to the Yellow Book will be covered in this webinar.
