This webinar will focus on the Financial Data Transparency Act (FDTA), along with other topics related to electronic financial reporting.

• Discuss the provisions of the FDTA and how they impact state and local governments.
• Hear from the University of Michigan's Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy (CLOSUP) on their work on data standards.
• Learn how data tagging occurs (e.g. moving from Excel to XBRL).
• Compare and contrast the FDTA to the Grant Reporting Efficiency and Agreements Transparency Act (the GREAT Act).
• Hear from an auditor organization on the pros and cons of standardized, machine-readable financial information’s impact on oversight responsibilities.
