New Resource Available to Help Find Lodging for Official State Travel

A new link to FedRooms has been added to the Travel Information page. FedRooms is the U.S. Government’s Hotel Program and is recommended for federal travelers by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).  State employees on official state business may utilize the program. The program is not available for personal use. The State of Arizona has no affiliation with the program. However, it may be a helpful resource for employees traveling on official business to find lodging at or below the federal rates. There are no additional booking fees and rooms can be booked directly from the site.

These hotels are compliant with the federal lodging rates. The state lodging rates listed in the State of Arizona Accounting Manual (SAAM) 5095 are currently aligned with the federal rates. However, if the state rates are not aligned with federal rates in the future, additional research may be necessary to be compliant with SAAM. Using FedRooms does not guarantee automatic compliance.

The Additional Travel Information section located at the bottom of the Travel Information page provides additional information about how to create an account and log in to the program.
