New Multi-Factor Authentication Requirements for ASAP.gov

The federal government is moving toward Zero Trust cybersecurity principles requiring multi-factor authentication in ID.me to use ASAP.gov. Users will not be able to log in to ASAP.gov after September 15th until they enroll and register in multi-factor authentication in ID.me.

The Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) is an electronic system federal agencies use to transfer funds to recipients. The ASAP is supported by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

For more information regarding this change, how to register with ID.me, and to find webinars, visit https://www.fiscal.treasury.gov/asap/caia.html.
