The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued substantial revisions to the Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200 (commonly known as the "Uniform Guidance"). Other OMB guidance contained in Title 2 Subtitle A applicable to federal financial assistance has also been revised, including but not limited to, 2 CFR 25, 2 CFR 170, and 2 CFR 180.

The revisions are effective for all federal awards issued on or after October 1, 2024. The General Accounting Office (GAO) strongly encourages all state agencies receiving federal funding to become familiar with the changes and impacts.
